How We Choose Products

Gate 1: Real Product
Every product in our database is screened to confirm it is a genuine item, not a duplicate listing, a counterfeit, a bundle assembled without a real model number, or a listing that Amazon has removed. Items that fail this check are excluded entirely regardless of their ratings or price. This keeps our rankings free of junk listings that waste your time.
Gate 2: Verified Demand
A product must demonstrate real buyer demand before it qualifies for a ranking. We measure demand by review count and recent purchase data, specifically the Amazon badge indicating how many units were bought in the last month. Products with no meaningful purchase history are excluded because a low-demand product, regardless of its specs, is harder for us to evaluate objectively and may reflect a niche appeal that most buyers do not share.
Gate 3: Rating 3.8 Stars or Higher
Products must carry a rating of 3.8 stars or above based on a real volume of owner reviews. This threshold reflects a product that buyers broadly find acceptable, with ratings below that level signaling consistent complaints about quality, performance or durability. A high price does not exempt a product from this gate; a low price does not lower the bar.
Gate 4: Real Brand and Final Ranking
The brand behind each product is verified against manufacturer data and known brand registries. No-name or unverifiable brands are excluded because owner support, warranty follow-through and parts availability are part of real-world value. Products that pass all four gates are then ranked within their category by a combination of rating, demand volume and price, so the products at the top of each list reflect both quality and value relative to what buyers are actually purchasing.
